NFDC's production of Much Ado About Nothing opens this Friday

by Alyssa Jackson, April 30, 2007 - 10:36am

Much Ado About Nothing opens this Friday, and we are almost completely done with costumes, the cast is off book and rocking their scenes, and the set looks gorgeous. I'm not sure how we are in such good shape, considering we made 11 costumes pieces from scratch, including 4 wedding dresses and 6 pieces made from Vintage Vogue patterns (which we have nicknamed "vague"), and Thomas has had to engineer flats from things that wouldn't normally be used in set design. The three of us are exhausted, covered in tiny puncture marks from pins, sunburned, and couldn't be prouder of ourselves and our cast.

If you are in the Atlanta area, or if you know anyone who is, please pimp our show! It's playing this Friday, Saturday and Sunday for our first ever matinee (May 4-6), and next Friday and Saturday (May 11-12), outdoors on the lawn of historic Barrington Hall in Roswell. Admission is free with donations accepted, so you can't pass this deal up!
