Everyone is my teacher, because everyone is the presence of God in my life. Those I honor and look up to hold a special place in my life. But anyone who causes me to think, to change or to grow is teaching me something. Ultimately, my best teachers help me to teach myself.

09-06-09 Turning Work Into Play

Work should not be something I do so that I can enjoy the rest of my life. My work is an important part of my life. It is one way I create, one way I provide value to the world and one way I attract abundance to me. If I choose work that I love, I can play for the rest of my life.

The only thing Life expects of me is that I live my life with love and joy. I have made it my intention to meet that expectation. I am not interested in anyone else's expectation of how I should live my life unless they support me in living happily.

I am the perfect expression of God's love. The joy that flows from my heart and soul has no limits because Spirit has no limits. I feel the constant presence of the Beloved, everywhere I go and in everything I do. I see my soul's reflection in the eye of everyone I meet.

I am always willing to forgive anyone for anything. I may not approve of what they did, but I know that forgiving them allows me to release any anger, resentment, fear or frustration that interferes with my ability to love. Forgiveness allows the love in me to heal any wound and to restore any relationship.

The freedom to choose is a gift given to me by Life. I am making choices every moment, consciously of unconsciously. I am free to love, free to prosper, free to create and free to heal. I am also free to make a mess of my life. Being free to succeed means I am also free to fail, so I use my freedom carefully.

06-28-2009 To Hell and Back

Hell is not a place. It is a state of mind that I enter and leave a various times in my life. It is not a place of punishment; it is the consequence of cause and effect. I find myself trapped in hell when I refuse to give or receive love. But the moment I open my heart, I am released. As I grow spiritually, I visit there less and less often.

The masculine energy in me is strong and direct. It is part of me that gives me the strength to move forward fearlessly and to stand up to challenges. It is part of me that protects and defends my heart and mind. When combined with the nurturing feminine energy in me, it keeps me in balance.

Whenever change occurs in my life, something is always lost when something is gained. To prosper, my old beliefs about money must be removed. To heal, my belief in illness needs to be cast aside. To receive love, my feeling of being unloved must disappear. In disappearing the old, I create space for the new.
