In her first column on Georgia Political Digest, originally published April 11, 2006, Grayson Hurst Daughters writes about her discomfort with BellSouth and praises for Earthlink and how they use their political capital and lobbyists on the issue of Internet access. She writes "if BellSouth merges with AT&T, as is expected, the company will leave town with a respectable reputation tarnished by some bizarrely distasteful efforts in the wild and wacky realm of municipal broadband access."
